After a hugely successful pilot year in 2016, your ACSA is bringing back this alternative method for your company’s COR Maintenance. We had 125 companies submit Action Plans last year, with almost all successfully completing their implementation and meeting their objectives.
Instead of conducting an internal audit, COR companies that meet the requirements have the option to develop and implement an Action Plan that maps out goal-setting using your company’s combined corporate and safety objectives. This holistic approach aims to improve your company’s health and safety management system by strengthening its alignment to, and understanding of, the company’s important corporate objectives, while also allowing HSE objectives which may fall outside of the typical audit scope to be prioritized throughout the company.
After receiving important feedback from the 2016 participating companies, we have been able to streamline and re-structure the Action Plan process to make it even more applicable and efficient for you and your workers. Action Plan companies will now have more time to identify and finalize their objectives, through an updated and easy to use form, and simplified final submission process. The number of objectives required has also been reduced, allowing you to focus on developing more meaningful and substantial deliverables in your Plan, while customizing your company’s priorities.
If you’re an ACSA COR member that has completed at least one re-certification external audit cycle, you could be eligible to participate in the 2017 COR Action Plan process. Applications are due no later than Friday, March 24th, 2017, so don’t delay.
Visit our COR Action Plan page for further information and, if you’re eligible, download the Action Plan template to get started now. If you have any further questions, please contact an ACSA COR Action Plan representative at cor@youracsa.ca or at 1800.661.ACSA (2272).
