ACSA Audit Instrument

Your 2023 ACSA COR Audit Instrument has been approved by Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR). We are sharing it with you so you can prepare for the changes that take effect on January 1, 2023.

2023 ACSA COR Audit Instrument

The 2023 ACSA COR Audit Instrument is updated to address Bill 47: Ensuring Safety and Cutting Red Tape Act, 2020 changes, meet PIR’s new audit standards, and better reflect the needs of our members.

As per Bill 47:

Ensuring Safety and Cutting Red Tape Act, 2020, amended the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act), the Radiation Protection Act, and the Workers’ Compensation Act. The updated OHS Act and revised regulations took effect December 1, 2021. As part of the legislative changes, all Certifying Partners, including the ACSA, were required to adopt the updated audit standards formed by PIR.

Some changes you can expect to see are:

  • Consistent language used throughout.
  • Improved instructions on how to interpret and score questions.
  • Improved clarity for validation notes criteria.
  • Updated supporting documentation (interview and observation checklists and audit documentation list).
