Crew Brew comes back in May 2026
Crew Brew brings ACSA’s Injury Prevention Campaign directly to worksites across Alberta, creating space for safety conversations, mentorship and camaraderie among crews. Through on-site engagement and practical resources, Crew Brew helps employers, supervisors and workers support safer starts for first-year workers.
From May 4 to 8, 2026, ACSA will visit construction sites across the province, sparking safety conversations over coffee and encouraging crews to look out for each other.
What to expect on site
- Free coffee and snacks to refuel for the day
- Conversations focused on first-year worker safety and common injuries
- Opportunities to share experiences and support crew mentorship
- Practical resources to use in toolbox talks and daily discussions
Where we’re going in 2026

Thank you to our hosting companies.
Why it matters
More than half of all injuries in Alberta construction are to workers in their first year at a company. Last year, ACSA launched resources to support employers, available at firstyear.youracsa.ca. This year, ACSA is engaging directly with the frontline, encouraging camaraderie and having each other’s backs to prevent injuries.
Crew Brew 2025 highlights
- Visited six worksites in Calgary, Red Deer, and Edmonton
- Engaged with over 250 workers on first-year safety
- Served 400+ cups of coffee
- Distributed safety posters and resources for toolbox talks
- Gathered valuable insights on supporting safety in construction
Part of ACSA’s Injury Prevention Campaign
Crew Brew is part of ACSA’s Injury Prevention Campaign, a multi-year effort focused on reducing injuries among first-year workers in Alberta construction.
Alongside Crew Brew, initiatives like Safety Showdown provide additional opportunities for crews to engage with daily safety resources and reinforce conversations on site.
During Safety and Health Week, Crew Brew brings these conversations directly to the frontline, encouraging crews to look out for each other and take practical steps to prevent injuries.
