CSTS Version 3.2 Upgrade (2009) Announcement

Your ACSA will continue to contribute to safer workplaces in Alberta by enhancing its training courses throughout 2017. We are continuously assessing the relevancy and value of our safety courses to ensure they provide the most current information and content. This can mean restructuring existing courses, introducing new courses, or eliminating dated content.

For example, in 2003 we introduced Version 3.2 of CSTS (Construction Safety Training System). Then, in 2009, we released the current version of CSTS (CSTS-09) which is still used as an introductory safety course. With the 2009 release, we made available a free one-and-a-half-hour upgrade for those people most recently trained under CSTS Version 3.2. The information contained in the CSTS Upgrade was intended to be a temporary measure designed to help people who had previously taken CSTS v3.2 to reach the new CSTS-09 course standard, without taking the entire course again. This has been our practice for eight years now, and the time has come to both look at upgrading CSTS again, and to discontinue use of the 2009 upgrade option.

If you are one of the few registrants who over the last eight years has not yet completed the CSTS-09 Upgrade but wish to, you will have until May 15, 2017 to register and complete this part of the training. To determine your eligibility in completing the CSTS-09 upgrade, please refer to your student portal account, or feel free to give us a call for assistance if you prefer.

Please visit the CSTS registration page or call 1.855.SAF.T.REG for more information.
