The five (5) categories are:

• Small Employer Award for Excellence in Safety recognizes small businesses that demonstrate inspirational commitment to promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment. Aimed at companies with up to 19 employees, this award highlights the importance of a safety culture that protects workers and contributes to business success.
• SECOR Employer Award for Excellence in Safety recognizes small businesses demonstrating commitment to promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment. Aimed at companies with up to ten (10) employees, this award highlights the importance of a safety culture that protects workers and contributes to business success.
• COR Employer Award for Excellence in Safety recognizes businesses that demonstrate commitment to promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment. This award highlights the importance of a safety culture that protects workers and contributes to business success.
• The National Health and Safety Administrator (NHSA) of the Year Award recognizes safety professionals who have worked hard to build their safety careers in construction by managing projects and/or initiatives and by participating in extracurricular activities, such as training and volunteering to enhance safety in the workplace.
• The National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) of the Year Award recognizes safety professionals who have worked hard to build their safety careers in construction by managing projects and/or initiatives and by participating in extracurricular activities, such as training and volunteering to enhance safety in the workplace.
