The ACSA regularly interacts with employers and employees in construction through our eight Regional Safety Committees (RSCs), located in Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Lakeland (Lloydminster), Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Parkland (Red Deer), Wood Buffalo (Ft. McMurray).
They are comprised of representatives from construction and trades associations, along with worker members and are tasked with developing and delivering safety initiatives to spread awareness, provide training opportunities and fundraise within local communities.
- Lakeland Regional Safety CommitteeThe Lakeland Regional Safety Conference and Trade Show will be held this month in Lloydminster on Thursday, November 24th, attracting people from the health and safety profession from the region and beyond.The theme is ‘Learning to Succeed’ and will see a presentation from former police officer and owner of ‘Safe & Sound’, Debra de Waal speaking on the subject.

- Parkland Regional Safety CommitteeThe PRSC is partnering with the Central Alberta Chapter of the CSSE to hold the Central Alberta Safety Symposium in Red Deer on Friday, November 25th.This one day Safety Symposium aims to promote continuing education and to provide unique networking opportunities. Registration is open to all workers, supervisors, managers and safety professionals in all industries. Everyone is welcome to attend!
In addition to the scheduled program there will also be a lunch hour safety trade show, which will include a number of exhibitors as well as fall arrest equipment drop tests.
