The ACSA regularly interacts with employers and employees in construction through our eight Regional Safety Committees (RSCs), located in Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Lakeland (Lloydminster), Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Parkland (Red Deer), Wood Buffalo (Ft. McMurray).
They are comprised of representatives from construction and trades associations, along with worker members and are tasked with developing and delivering safety initiatives to spread awareness, provide training opportunities and fundraise within local communities.
- Parkland Regional Safety Committee – Westerner Day’s Parade
The Parkland RSC participated in the 125th Annual Westerners Day Parade, held on July 20th in Red Deer. Members of the Committee and their families, as well as ACSA Executive Director, Dan MacLennan, jumped on board the PRSC/ACSA float and took to street, spreading the safety message and meeting with the local community.
A fun day was had by all and was topped off with the Parkland RSC being awarded 3rd place in the Best Float competition. Congratulations!
If you’re working in construction safety in the Parkland area and would like to learn more about your local RSC, email PRSC@youracsa.ca for information on future meeting and events.
